My experience at the Barcelona International Art Fair (FIABCN) at the Museu Marítim de Barcelona has been truly exceptional. As an artist, I had the opportunity to showcase two of my artworks that are part of the "Universe" collection at this prestigious international fair in 2021.

The FIABCN is organized by ICM (International Cultural Management Gestora Cultural, SL) in collaboration with international art curators, collectors, and fellow renowned artists. ICM is a composition of cultural companies, foundations, and associations that are fully committed to the overall welfare of contemporary art and culture. With extensive experience in organizing art fairs and cultural events worldwide, the ICM team has been a trusted partner in the international art market for a decade.

The Museu Marítim de Barcelona, located in the building of Drassanes Reials de Barcelona, is undoubtedly one of the most exciting venues. This Gothic-style building was dedicated to shipbuilding between the 13th and 18th centuries. During excavations in 2012, it was discovered that a new building was constructed on top of the old medieval shipyard in the late 16th century, giving the structure its current form. Additionally, a Roman cemetery was uncovered during these excavations. The shipyard's restoration was completed in early 2013, and the museum reopened its doors in 2014.

As a participating artist at the FIABCN, I can affirm that this art fair is an exceptional platform for showcasing and discovering original contemporary artworks. The FIABCN is a public sales and trade fair, open to a general audience. Each year, it offers exhibition space and serves as a meeting point for gallery owners, collectors, artists, and art enthusiasts. It is recognized at a European level for providing a dynamic platform to connect emerging and established galleries with a global audience.

The FIABCN presents an exciting selection of emerging and established contemporary artists and galleries from around the world. It is dedicated to engaging both visitors and exhibitors, and has become a prominent event in the European art calendar. It provides an immersive environment where one can discover and collect the most captivating contemporary art.

Personally, the FIABCN has been an invaluable platform for me as an artist. It has provided me with the opportunity to showcase my artworks in an inspiring environment and to connect with other acclaimed artists, gallery owners, and collectors. Furthermore, the location at the Museu Marítim de Barcelona adds an additional value to the experience, as its rich history and Gothic architecture offer an impressive backdrop for contemporary art.

The FIABCN is not just about the exhibition of artworks; it also creates a space for communication and interaction between exhibitors and visitors. It is a place where dialogue is encouraged, and meaningful connections are established between artists and art lovers.

If you have the opportunity to attend the upcoming edition of the Barcelona International Art Fair at the Museu Marítim, I encourage you to do so. It will be an enriching experience where you can discover the diversity and excellence of contemporary art, and immerse yourself in a unique environment where creativity and passion converge.
