The Narrative

This charcoal portrait study was inspired by the introspective nature of Saint Jerome. The goal was to capture not just the anatomy of an old man, but the weight of wisdom and the silence of meditation.

Beyond the artistic challenge, this piece holds immense personal significance. It was an incredible honor to have the opportunity to present this work in person to Pope Francis. This moment elevated the drawing from a personal project to a cherished memory and a symbol of the connection between art, faith, and humanity.
